Prerequisites:

-Class 3 Medical Certificate (at a minimum)

Description: The Private Pilot License (PPL) is your entry point into aviation, allowing you to fly recreationally or as a stepping stone to a career in aviation. This comprehensive training program focuses on building fundamental skills in aircraft operation, navigation, safety, and regulations.

Training Overview:

  • Ground Training: 40+ hours covering aerodynamics, flight planning, regulations, meteorology, aircraft systems, and radio communication.
  • Flight Training: 40+ hours of flight time, including:
    • Basic aircraft control
    • Takeoffs, landings, and maneuvers
    • Navigation (cross-country flights)
    • Emergency procedures

Duration: Typically 3-6 months, depending on schedule availability.

Cost:

  • $220/Hr Block rate with 10hr deposit for dual instruction (Including airplane, instructor
    fee and fuel) or $235/hr pay as you go
  • $180/Hr for solo rental with a 10 hour deposit
  • Total cost estimate based on minimum 40 hours is $8,000

Outcome: This license allows you to act as pilot-in-command of an aircraft privately, with the option to carry passengers but not for hire or compensation.
